Abstract
Nasser Khosrow Qobadiani is one of the greatest and most influential thinkers in Iranian-Islamic thought and one of the first critics of Aristotelian philosophy. The function of reason in his thought is not limited to Aristotelian argument. From Nasser Khosrow's perspective, reason is the best creation of God, but it is a power that cannot be actualized without the cultivation and guidance of the prophet. The real function of reason is in the branches because, in his view, in the principles, one must first imitate. So, at least he does not consider faith to be based on arguments; because the argument is the product of reason and reason was first cultivated by the Prophet and the Imam. At the heart of this theological theory lies what we call negative theology. And what is meant by “negation” is that reason is not absolutely sufficient in it, but rather revelation is needed. In Nasser's view, perhaps the object of faith cannot be proven with philosophical argument, but reason can still be used to understand it. Just as Augustine considered faith necessary for understanding, Nasser Khosrow also believes that one must first imitate, then reach research. This position is one of the positions where Nasser Khosrow's thoughts can be a source of inspiration.
